Internet Bill Pay?

Ok, on recommendations on my last post, I'm going to consider online bill paying. I just talked to the one problem creditor: apparently I missed a payment for one month along the line. They got a recent payment, but that meant that as time progressed, I was one off. So it's all fixed now, and they do have online payments.

I have to check on the other two creditors and with my bank. I use a debit card for the bill paying account, so I could even make phone payments if they don't do online. I think that might be helpful too: I can make a list of the contact info and just call it all in on payday.

So thanks for the advice! Any tips are greatly appreciated!!

    One thought: There are two ways to pay bills online. One is to set it up separately with each company. The other is to set it up with your bank. The initial setup with the bank takes longer because you need to enter information for each creditor separately, but I've found it saves time in the end if you want to make changes--you only have to go to one web site, rather than one web site per creditor.

    Good luck! As the others have said, once you have it set up, it's a god-send.

    I set it up through my bank to pay when I want to. Love it! It's a piece of cake and no more paying for stamps!

    If you do the phone payments, make sure you have ONE place where you write down the date, amount, creditor and authorization number...just in case!

    I love paying online as well. I used to wonder whether the checks would even get picked up. Once, I found my sent envelope in my neighbor's yard because the wind must have blown it out of the mail carriers hand or truck. Then, you have to wonder whether it will get there on time.

    This is so easy. You'll receive a confirmation number and you can easily track when it was posted in your bank. Makes life a whole lot easier.

    I am using my banks bill pay. I don't have to write any checks. They will even send one out for my rent payments. Very cool. I don't know why I have checks I never use them.
